Episode 16 finds the heroine in an unexpected place. For fifteen days she has been confined to one house, yet strangely she feels at peace there. Here there is no fear that someone will come and drag her away, and no danger to her izzat. In that quiet she begins to think about her past, and above all about her father, who loved her so much.

ایک سال پہلے زندگی کتنی مختلف تھی — پاپا کی محبت اور بےفکری کے دن۔

Just a year ago her life was completely different. The episode takes us back to those days, when she was a carefree seventeen-year-old and her Papa was the best father in the world. In one tender scene he surprises her with a brand-new mobile phone, and she throws her arms around his neck, calling him the sweetest papa ever. He laughs and says he’ll give her anything she wants, and she answers that he is her mother, her siblings, her whole world. The warmth of these memories makes her present situation feel all the more painful.

These five episodes slow the story down to explore what the heroine has lost and how her naseeb brought her here. Sabahat Khan mixes heartbreak with gentle family moments, and the contrast keeps you turning the pages.
