About this novel
Silsila e Ishq Season 2 by Salman continues this historical Urdu romance with a darker, more intense chapter about people wounded by love. Read it online or download the PDF free on Crazy Fans of Novels.
Like the first season, it opens with “Likhari Ki Awaaz,” the writer’s reminder that loving someone is not a sin, that lovers are often hated by the world, and that in love, union is not a condition. This is a story, he says, in which lovers face a bitter end.
The first chapter of Season 2 is called “Mohabbat Ke Maare Hue Log,” and it begins with a sad poem asking who these wounded people are, carrying the corpse of their hearts on their heads, and where their wishes have brought them. One love they could not hold on to, and one love could not hold on to them. More verses follow, credited to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, about love surviving among the killed, while the one who loved is lost, and about ishq being endless.
Then the action begins. A group of masked horsemen ride through a deserted, autumn-bare forest where not a soul can be seen. The trees have lost their leaves, and even the birds that once sang there have flown away. Seven riders gallop between the dry trees, their faces covered, dressed in fine battle clothes with quivers and swords at their waists. At one point they stop to rest and take shelter under a tree. Salman pauses here for a reflective note: a tree that has lost its own leaves to autumn cannot really give anyone shade, yet travellers still go to it out of habit, hoping it will protect them, and humans are just as foolish.
From this opening, Season 2 promises war, journeys and lovers paying the price for their love. Readers who enjoyed the first season will want to see where the story goes.
عشق لازوال ہے، چاہے راستے کتنے ہی ویران کیوں نہ ہوں۔
