Ishq Be Mool Episode 1 (Urdu: عشق بے مول) by Zunaira Anjum is the first part of a short Urdu romance based on a real-life story. The writer says she told it at a reader’s request, with the names changed to protect the people involved.

Before the story starts, Zunaira Anjum adds a personal note: the events are real, only the characters’ names are fictional, and she thanks the reader who suggested the two main names. Then the first chapter opens at an airport. Jerry and his colleagues are waiting to receive their new boss, holding up a board with his name – yet none of them actually knows what he looks like. “How will we recognise him?” someone asks, and the answer is simple: he will recognise us if he wants to. Half an hour passes, passengers walk out one after another, and the boss is nowhere to be seen. Then Jerry’s phone rings with an order to get every file ready and get everyone back to the office – the new boss clearly likes doing things his own way.

The second thread belongs to Aini. Her life was never easy; after her parents died, her grandfather became her only support. He always wanted to see her settled and finally found a suitable rishta through a close friend, but Aini flatly refused because she wanted to continue her studies. The tension hit her Dadu hard, and now he is in hospital.

Sitting in the hospital corridor, Aini prays for him with tears in her eyes and makes a silent promise: if Dadu gets well, she will accept whatever he says and never refuse him again. Khalida Aunty brings her a glass of water and tells her to stay strong, because her grandfather will be upset if he sees her like this. “Woh theek ho jayenge, Allah par bharosa rakho.”

This opening links a mysterious, demanding boss with a girl about to make a life-changing decision for her grandfather’s sake, and it’s easy to guess where the two threads are heading. It’s a short, emotional start that leads straight into Ishq Be Mool Episode 2.
